The ultimate evolution of the Pro-Ject RM concept design, the RM-10.1 offers an entirely new perspective on what is possible in this form factor. Similar in design principles to the famed RM-9 series, the RM-10.1 uses a longer 10" Pro-ject arm, the 10cc EVO. Although an extra inch of extension may not seem like much, moving the pivot point just that little bit farther from the cartridge results in an enormous jump in tracking accuracy. This gives the 10cc EVO a huge resolution boost and also a smoother, richer tonal balance.  The 10cc EVO has a unique conical carbon fiber shape for the armtube, which combined with the additional length tremendously reduces micro-vibration and susceptibility to resonance.

The 10-inch 10cc EVO carbon fiber weave tonearm with integrated headshell provides an incredible rigidity-to-weight ratio. Swiss-built bearings and tempered steel gimbals can extract the most from any high-performance phono cartridge. Precision adjustment of tonearm height, azimuth and anti-skating is easily accomplished by the user. The damped tonearm lift provides accurate cueing and chassis mount RCA connectors facilitate easy interconnect upgrade.  

A platter with double the mass of the RM-9.2's ensures accurate speed control with deep and extended bass response. This mammoth dual-layer acrylic platter is mated to a plinth made from ultra-dense MDF filled with metal dust and sealed. This additional weight focuses the combined mass of the platter and plinth for superior vibration rejection and extraordinary mechanical stability. The platter itself is suspended above the plinth by an ingenious magnetic repulsion system using a pair of opposing magnets to "lift" the platter, reducing bearing friction and mechanical noise to a near zero level.

Turntable

- Chassis, motor housing and granulate filled equipment base Ground it deluxe piano-lacquered dark grey

- A quiet running AC motor with a two-step pulley drives the platter's outside edge via a belt. 
- Medium density fiber plinth stands on three height-adjustable Sorbothane®-damped aluminum cones.

- The motor is mounted in a separate metal housing to eliminate vibration transmission. 
- The resonance-optimized platter is a sandwich construction utilizing an acrylic platter weighing 5,4Kg and a brass record puck. 
- The magnet supported (amount of support adjustable), inverted bearing uses a stainless-steel axle carrying a ceramic ball on which the ceramic bearing plate runs. 
- Central metal block optimizes center of gravity and damps main bearing. 
- Connection to the phono input of the amplifier can be made with connecting cables of your taste through the gold-plated phono sockets and earth screw. 
- External power supply avoids potential electro-mechanical interference.

Tonearm Pro-Ject 10cc Evolution

- The headshell and arm tube are fashioned from a single piece of carbon-fiber. 
- Conical armtube avoids standing wave reflections. 
- Inverted tonearm bearing comprises four hardened stainless tips in ABEC7 spec ballraces. 
- Rings provide very solid arm bearing housings. The massive outside ring is open to avoid resonances. 
- Sorbothane®-damped counterweight effectively counteracts unwanted resonances. 
- The counterweights supplied are suitable for cartridges weighing between 4 - 6g, 5 - 8g, 6 - 10g or 8 - 14g. An alternative counterweight for cartridges weighing between 15 - 20g or 16 - 22g is available as an accessory part. 
- Counterweight shaft lowered to record level reduces cantilever forces and dynamic wow when playing warped records. 
- Solid armbase permits accurate height adjustment of armtube and VTA (vertical tracing angle). 
- Single-screw fixing of armtube allows rotation for easy adjustment of needle azimuth despite fixed headshell. 
- Silicone-damped armlift can be adjusted to suit working height of the arm. 
- Internal wiring consists of flexible high-purity copper from the headshell right through to the gold-plated phono sockets.
