Hello, I'm a Senior Acoustic Engineer and used to work in many Audio Companies in Europe and Asia where I  bought superb analogue components, such turntables as Technics SP-10MKII, Exclusive P3 and P10, Trio-Kenwood L-07D and related analogue components among others!

You won't find a MU-70 Motor Unit in better condition than this one! Please make sure to built a solid base, add a good tonearm and you will have a world class turntable that put many current production turntables, costing 3 to 5 times more to shame!

This listing is for the outstanding ALL ORIGINAL PIONEER MU-70 MOTOR UNIT, sold at that time separately, from the superb Pioneer PL-70 Record Player, bought by me, brand new, in Japan, during the 1980 years, and is still in superb MINT condition.

The superb MU-70 Motor Unit was derivated of the outstanding EXCLUSIVE P10 turntable that is the most powerful, precise and technologically advanced turntable motor ever built!

Powerful starting torque has been obtained by having adopted the linear torque hall motor of the slotless structure which cocking does NOT generate.

In order to obtain the stable rotation, the bearing structure had adopted the Stable Hanging Rotor scheme, made this the MOST advanced direct drive in existence!.

This MU-70 Motor Unit comes complete with the original Mat in great condition, original platter screws and original mounting screws.

I'm very careful with all my Audio components and this motor  turntable is in perfect functional condition, it has NO scratches and the original turntable mat is in great condition. All electronic components inside the motor unit are ORIGINAL.

Despite the fact that this product has more than 40 years of existence and it still performs perfect, it is advisable, in order to continue to properly work for more decades, to check the condition of the capacitors on the printed board inside the motor chassis.
 
As I bought this turntable in Japan, please note that the Electrical Supply is made for using in 100Volts, 50/60Hz. A step-down transformer, easily available on eBay, is necessary if you live in the US (120V to 100v) or if you live in Europe (220-240V to 100V).
