This listing is for a used Ayre K-3x stereo preamplifier with internal phono stage. This item has been tested and is in 100% operational condition. Both channels are clean and clear with no hum, buzz, noise, or distortion. The Shallco stepped attenuator is functioning perfectly as is the motorized remote level control, mute function and tri-colored red/green/blue power LED good. The phono section is exceptional and super high quality, similar to what Ayre used in the K-1.
 
Audio reproduction is outstanding; I have been listening to this piece and find no faults. Film soundtracks and music concert events are reproduced with a clarity and coherence only found in the finest equipment. You would not be disappointed.

The phono inputs are balanced XLR so you will need the correct phono cable leads or use XLR/RCA adapters.
 
Cosmetic condition is very good with some light signs of use, IMO better than the technical aspect that the AG 7/10 rating portrays. Some scratches on the power supply, small marks on the preamp face and perimeter, top chassis cover has a light scratch on top, all in all nothing terrible. The graphics on the preamp are completely intact, knobs are perfect and unmarked, the remote has some wear to the painted logo but generally good and it is working, I installed new batteries. This unit is physically clean inside and out with no dirt or nicotine contamination. The internal PC boards/components inside the preamp and power supply are meticulously clean.
