I’m the original owner of this great amp. It was purchased from an authorized dealer and after its first few years of great service has been in secondary systems or safely packed away in its original box. But I simply have too much audio gear…so this terrific amp needs a new home (as does the matching GFP 555-II preamp, GFT 555-II tuner, and ACE-515 AC Enhancer in other offers).
This amp is 100 watts into 8 ohms, 150 into 4 ohms, looks pretty much brand new - I can’t find any noticeable scratches or blemishes on it, but I’ve been conservative with my rating only due to age. Was built in Japan, works perfectly, and sound great.
The Agon $230 Average selling price is still over a third of the original $600 price tag. You have to hand it to Adcom for building high quality, straightforward gear that not only sound great, but also lasts and holds its value.
If you’re interested in a review, Home Theater Review listened to the GFP 555 II Pre and GFA 545 II Power combo in 1992 and liked them a great deal. The review can be found at:

Its been very well cared for and I’m sure will continue to deliver for a very long time. All honesty, I’m a bit attached to this gear as it was my first ‘real’ stereo – I’ll be sad to see it go. But a great home that uses and enjoys it is what it deserves.
