The Aesthetix Calypso linestage is one of the best-reviewed audio components in the history of man. Gazillions of awards and great reviews from around the world, as can be gleaned from the Aesthetix website, for both this original model and for the later, upgraded Signature version. It's all true! Timbre and PRAT are excellent, soundstage and imaging are exceptional, especially at this used-item price point. And if you want to take it further, you can send it to the factory for upgrade to Signature status.
I've had this item for about a year, purchased used from a reputable San Diego shop. It looks and works great; rated an "8" only due to age. Includes remote and box, and manual is available on-line. Selling only because I'm switched to an ultra-low output preamp (10 ohms!) to accommodate some powered speakers.
