Questions for the seller |
---|
Where did you come up with the retail price of $26,000. for a pair of ML 20.6's ? The original retail price was $14,995.
Regards,
Larry Garber Dear Larry:
That I will gladly tell you, because the price, which YOU are mentioning, was the U.S.- Price, but that was CERTAINLY NOT The Price, at which WE Europeans had to pay, OH NO!!! Since we had to pay Shipping, Import Tax, VAT, AVANCE (The Money, That The Importers and Every Store, which Sells The Item, Get's in Earnings for selling The Product), etc., The Price in MY Country Denmark, Came to a Whopping 150.000 Danish Kroner for The No. 20.5 in 1989, but THE No. 20.6 came to an EVEN MORE WHOPPING 180.000 Danish Kroner MSRP in 1992. And that Larry, Translates in to $26000 USD, since for every Dollar, There goes 7 Danish Kroner and so 180.000 Divided By 7 Danish Kroner = $25.714 USD. So Larry, just like you pay around $2 Dollars for a Gallon of Gasoline over there, We in Demark Pay 4 Times That, namely ONE LITER of Gasoline in Denmark Costs Around 14 Danish Kroner, which is around $2 dollars, but as you know, Larry, there goes almost 4 LITERS to a GALLON, so that is Roughly 4 Times The Price, so you can see, that if we Europeans had to pay $14995 USD for a set of The European Version 230 Volt ML No. 20.6's, then the market would be practically FLOODED with No. 20.6's, but since we pay Roughly THE DOUBLE of what you pay in The U.S., Then FAR FEWER of these Wonderful Amps, were Sold in Europe or at Least in Denmark, Where THIS set is Bought and so THAT is Why The European Versions are MUCH RARER and thus MUCH MORE Worth, than The American Versions, Larry, Simply Because The MSRP. for such a set, is MUCH MUCH HIGHER than in The Same Set Were in The U.S.
I Hope That Answers Your Question, Larry.
Have a Great Day.
Sincerely Thomas. |
