This is the Zodiac +, it comes in Black with silver knobs and buttons.
I have had the chance to switch back and forth between the Berkley Alpha Dac and the Zodiac Plus.
When the volume levels are matched I can not tell any difference between them.
When I did this comparison listening I did not use the Voltikus this was a stock Zodiac + that is a year old against a Berkley Alpha DAC of similar age. There may have been the occasional moment where I thought something was a hair different but mostly there was no difference.

If we add the Voltikus the Zodiac will have an edge up over the Berkley.

Now $2495 isn't cheap but it's half the price of the Berkley, to be fair to the Berkley it comes with a remote control and can decode HDCD the Zodiac plus on the other hand has a killer headphone amp built in with it's own volume control and has a volume control for the analog out but no remote. Unlike the Berkley the Zodiac has clock inputs and outputs and de jittered digital outputs if you wanted to daisy chain your digital signal.

If you want a world class DAC either of these will make you smile but the Zodiac will get you there for half price.

If you don't need a AES/EBU input or the Clock input and output then you can consider the Zodiac Silver at $1695, it is the same dac as the Plus minus many of the pro audio features.
