The Zodiac Gold with Voltikus Power Supply sounds wonderful it will make you smile when you listen to it, really it will make you smile. There are all sorts of great reviews out there on the Zodiac Gold because really it will make you smile when you listen to music. It will make your old red book CDs sound 3 dimensional, analog like ,have sparkle, air around the instruments but mostly it sounds like a fabulous turntable, cartridge, tone arm and RIAA phono stage with out record noise when you play it and that is a great thing for it to sound like.

I think it is because of its unique clock circuitry and other things too but it sounds great and beats any other DAC in its price range that I have gotten to hear.

CUTTING-EDGE DESIGN
