This Music Vault is in the original Cube case and comes with a pair of 2 TB hard drives one for storing all your music and the second 2 TB drive auto duplicates everything you copy to the music folder whether you rip your CDs to the Music Vault with the built in drive or you download music from the internet like HD Tracks or you copy your friends USB hard drive full of music.
The Music Vaults use standard file formats like FLAC and WAVE or any format you want to use plus there is no practical limit to the number of USB hard drives you can add to the Music Vault over time.

This is a preowned Music Vault II and I have gone over it and it will come with a one year warranty parts and labor.

Playback software is Media Monkey for bit perfect output.
Ripping software is DB Power Amp for the best sounding rips possible.
The Music Vault can be connected to a Monitor via VGA,DVI or HDMI and you may use a wired or wireless keyboard and mouse combination to control it.
Remote control for playback is through the iTunes remote app for iPad,iPhone,iPod touch or Android Phone/tablet.
Full Remote control is done via Logmein on any internet connected computer or with the Logmein ignition app on your choice of iPad,iPhone,iPod touch or Android Phone/tablet.

The Zodiac Silver from Antelope Audio is brand new and comes with its own high quality USB cable for connecting to the Music Vault plus a high quality optical cable to connect to your CD or DVD player of choice.
The Silver has a pair of optical SPDIF inputs plus a pair of Coax SPDIF inputs and the USB input and all inputs will playback any sample rate up through 24 bit 192K.

The Zodiac DACs have superior clocking technology to any other DAC at up to twice its price.
As you have no doubt heard jitter is the bane of digital playback and while jitter comes from many sources the Clock is the main source and then digital cables as the next most likely source.

The Music Vault was one of the first commercially available music servers to output the native sample rate of the music stored on it.
The Zodiac plays back the native sample rate with out upsampling, the net result is more texture to the music than upsampling dacs or music servers can provide. Upsampling smooths out the sound at the expense of musical texture which helps a CD player as optical playback is not very good in general, the Music Vault doesn't suffer the playback issues that optical playback has and the net result is stunning sound.
