Great opportunity! This Audio Note (Japan) step up is one of the best step ups ever made. The AN-S7c VZ was produced by Kondo San before Audio Note and Kondo became two separate companies. It was great companion for my Kondo IO-j cartridge producing superb sounds.

Yes - it has silver transformers - a very high-end model from Audionote
He sold his Kondo IO-j cartridge because he now has two (2) young children and therefore dose not have the time and/or money to spend on the more expensive high-end systems.
He was using it with his Kondo IO-j cartridge which was a perfect match, but you can also use it with other cartridges.
