Up for sale is a dbx Model 21 Disc Decoder which allows you to play back dbx decoded Lp's and tapes. dbx decoding was the state of the art prior to the cd. Many still feel that it exceeds cd sound quality.. dbx recordings were made using the finest conventional studio master tapes to deliver all their dynamic range. the Model 21 allows you to listen to dbx encoded Lp's with virtually no pops. ticks, and surface noise. | Can you encode music to a Reel-to-Reel then decode for playback? The model 21 decoder is a decode -only devise used for playing back encoded disc or tapes. It does not include circuits for making dbx recordings. |
