Audio Research 150.2 Amplifier

Up for sale is an Audio Research 150.2 amplifier. This was inspected at the factory in May 2010 and has performed flawlessly since then. It will be shipped double boxed in a new Audio Research shipping box. The manual is also included. I will also include an aftermarket power cord. After extensive development, we are happy to announce the availability of a new solid-state amplifier from Audio Research that combines high efficiency, musical sound and ample power - all at a very affordable price. The new 150.2 combines the groundbreaking Class T digital switching technology first used in the 150M multichannel amplifier with a fixed (non-modular) two-channel design in a package sized like the older 100.2 amplifier. The 150.2 produces a strong 150 WPC into 8 ohms, and 300 WPC into 4 ohms. BAL and SE inputs are provided, along with a 12V trigger and detachable A.C. power cord. Like the 150M, the 150.2 produces very little heat because of its high efficiency, so it is ideal for in-cabinet installations. Handles are optional at additional cost, as on the 150M. Musically, the 150.2 is very much like the remarkable 150M - very refined, open and natural. Some have described the 150M as having virtually no coloration of its own, so that it presents the source material with remarkable transparency and purity.
