I am the original owner of this black Reference 2 Phono stage. The unit is in excellent condition, both cosmetically and sonically. Hours on the original tubes are 239. Tube life for this unit is estimated at 3000 to 5000 hours. The REF 2 is quicker, more transparent, has better low-end weight, an absolutely silent background, and more refined at every level than any previous ARC phono stage. The REF 2 was further named by The Absolute Sound as a “Phono Stage of the Year.”
