Audio Research VT100MK II, those reading this already know this is one of the best ARC power amp at all time from the late William Z. Johnson.
This is the original VT100 MK II, as shown from the pictures. The old saying is if you want to listen to music, get the MK II, if you want to listen to hifi, get the MK III. Forget the VT100 MK I!
The VT100 MK II delivers 100W pure tube power and it is enough to drive any speaker but the most demanding one(but then, you probably will opt for the mega bucks power amp if you own one of those speakers). The music from VT100 MK II is musical involving and it throws a wide and deep soundstage and pinpoint imaging.
The VT100 MK II has balanced XLR and RCA inputs, and also provides a heavy duty metal binding post that can accommodate 2 sets of speaker spades for bi-wiring, which I really appreciate that when I use it with my Rogers LS3/5A.
It is in good condition but not mint, there are scratches on the front handle(faceplate is clean) and some minor scratch/ding on the removable top plate. I try to capture that on the pictures. The tubes has probably 500-1000 hours usage and they still run very strong and quiet.
I have the original ARC box for shipping and a copy of manual. Own this classic vintage amp while you can, the used market price on the VT100 MK II may go up in the future like the legendary SP10 and SP11.

| Hi! Can You tell me what did it coast to send it to Novosibirsk, Russian Federation? FedEx rate shows $975 to ship to Russian for this 90 lbs package! I once shipped a pre amp(40 lbs) to either Ukraine or Kazashtan with seamail(by boat) and it cost about $200+. |

Using FedEx will cost you about $700 for this 90 lbs package(with the original ARC box). I can try UPS or DHL but it will be around that price. |

By both ways - [filtered] and PayPal too - and I confirm You the way I called Meest just now, they informed me the max weight it will take is 66 lbs, and it will cost about $584. Then we have to use FedEx, it is about $950. DHL is over $1500(crazy!).
So your total is $3100. I can declare the package at $800 to save you some tax. So you figure it out, $3100 + 4% with paypal or use bank [filtered] and remember to add $25 per incoming transaction as my bank charges that.

It will be very good for me to pay You two different bills - one for no more then $1100,00 and another - for the remaining portion of the amount? Another question is – can You show in waybill only $ 1100,00? It's very good for me 'cause of our custom duty and taxes. It will be very good, if it possible. And I'm waiting Your bills for transfer money for You. So which way you want me to ship? FedEx($900+) or Meest(I have to [filtered] them to get a quote). And what's your payment term? If using Paypal, it will be 4% extra paypal fee. The best way is using bank [filtered] as my bank charge only $25 for incoming fee. If you pay in 2 bills, it will be charged 2 times.

| Well, You know FedEx is a very big problem for Russia - they brings only to Moscow's custom - and any item stand still in it for a weeks, sometimes - for month or more. Can You send this amp by EMS? I want to get this amp so much :-) I can do EMS but for package this big, they will use FedEx(Post office has contract with FedEx) instead of the regular express [filtered] service. I don't know if that will make any difference on delivering since FedEx handle the rest. If you are seriously interested, I can check with UPS or DHL but I think it will cost about the same. |
| I must to say again - DHL can't bring it directly to Novosibirsk - only to Moscow - and this is why I asked about it. Maybe better to try regular air post? I'd get some items from Canada with regular air [filtered] and it was good. DHL for Russia - really impossible for use -worst case of delivery. I tried US postal website, the max weight limit is 70 lbs, the VT100MKII amplifier itself weight over 78 lbs plus the original Audio Research box weights almost 15 lbs with the packing material). So I guess you will have to use FedEx.
Another option is using Meest(the one I used before to ship stuff to Ukraine), they also ship to Russia but takes little bit longer,

Novosibirsk is at RU2 and they do deliver there, it will probably cost less than US $500, I don't know how much my local Meest agent charge but I think it will not be more than $500. |
| Well You know it is not more about a cost of delivery - most of problem is the Russian crazy custom and our distances. And if it will be little bit longer, but if it will be directly to Novosibirsk - it will be better then anything else. Please, excuse my bad english))) Then I think Meest is your best choice if FedEx does a bad job delivering. Meest has their own delivery network and it specifically list Novosibirsk as one of the city it delivers, so I think they will be ok.
