An audiophile classic, Audio Research's VT-150SE 'Special Edition' mono-blocks.

These amps are approximately 15 years old, with one owner only. They have been completely re-tubed with Audio Research tube sets 4 years ago.

Note: The original boxes for these amps were thrown away years ago, but I have just purchased brand new boxes and packaging from Audio Research.

The front face plates look great. There are a few nicks and a deeper scratch on one of the back handles (these amps always seem to get these here.) Very hard to notice normally. The photo of these blemishes are enhanced in order to high-lite the defects.

Note: These amps have balanced circuit topology and have only XLR inputs. Using a simple RCA to XLR adapter (as I have seen some people here recommend) is just crazy with this quality level of equipment. If your pre-amp outputs are single-ended RCA's, I will include, free, a brand new set of Jensen RCA to XLR adapters (which utilize very high quality transformers to do the job) plaus a pair of Straightwire Maestro XLR cables. The transformers are are a $240 value and the cables were about $200. See photo.

Note: When you buy the amp, we'll have a discussion if you want me to pull out all the tubes or leave them in during shipping.

Speaking of shipping, these are heavy! FedEx Ground must go to a business location! For a residential destination, we are looking at FedEx Express (pricey) or UPS. I'll enter the weight of *one* amp (97 lbs.), so you'll have to then double the shipping cost.
