A very good and highly regarded 24-bit, up-sampling DAC (Analog Devices AD1853) with 1 optical and 3 coaxial digital inputs, USB input, and an analog RCA input! Has both fixed/variable output via RCA and XLR. And as the name suggests, it is a preamp - you can connect this directly to your amp! It also has a good headphone setup. It has won many awards. Specs can be found online. =)
This DAC1 is the newer version with the updated op-amps (LM4562). I am the original owner.
I am rating it 9/10 but it has no scratches at all (see pics). I've used it - so it's broken in! But given the older and newer DACs I have in my system, it doesn't get used much. Hence the sale. Otherwise, I would keep it.
