Beveridge RM-1/RM-2 Full Function Preamplifier V-Cap Teflon, M-Cap, DACT upgrade

Rare legendary Beveridge preamp designed by Roger Modjeski of Music Reference/RAM labs fame. His all-out design with separate power supply. RM-1/RM-2 is as heavy as some power amplifiers at 38 LBS. RM-1 is the main unit and RM-2 is the power supply. Reference preamp for many years of the owner/recording engineer of Water Lily records. In fact this is the one used by Kavi Alexander himself. Still serviced by Roer Modjeski, and gone thru by him a couple of years ago after the upgrade was done. Upgrades include the following (all capacitors in signal path are replaced by V-Cap Teflon or MCap silver/oil): 18 pieces V-Cap Teflon 2 pieces MCap silver/oil Carbon type volume control was replaced by DACT Attenuator All electrolytic caps in power supply are replaced by quality German caps 5 pairs of RCA jacks upgraded Balance control is bypassed Parts alone cost well over $1500. It sounded great before the upgrade and amazing after. 12(!) 6DJ8 family (6922, 7308) vacuum tubes are used - 6 in phono section, 3 in line, 3 elsewhere. 2 phono inputs so it can accommodate 2 turntables. It can take low output MC, but you will need 2 low noise 6DJ8 tubes in phono section. It has unique touch-sensitive mute function (touching the power knob for mute, touch again to un-mute)
