Minimal distortion, flat frequency response, and a high output voltage provide a vivid and tactile musicality. It offers a level of performance more akin to expensive moving coil cartridges than a moving magnet model.
The Virtuoso V2 has a wide-band frequency response of 20 Hz to 20 kHz, 4.0 mV output voltage, and channel separation of >30 dB at 1 kHz.
Has approximately 150 hours on it. I'm not a cartridge swapper. It was mounted new on a Clearaudio table where it remained until recently swapped out for a Shelter. Cartridge has no visible signs of wear, but I am conservative so give it an 8. Loved the sound of the Virtuoso but got the bug and wanted to try something new.

V2 Series Advantages
With the V2 series of moving magnet cartridges Clearaudio sets new standards in the technical parameters of impedance, inductance, load capacitance and sensitivity. Ongoing research, development and analysis in Clearaudio's laboratory allows the company to attain near perfect balance of the stereo channels, reduce distortion to vanishing levels, and increase output level with a flat frequency response to provide a vivid and enthralling musical performance.
Clearaudio V2-series MM cartridges feature a resonance-optimized ebony housing. In comparison to the company's critically acclaimed Aurum series, the V2 series offers less coloration and more natural sound, more powerful magnets for greater dynamic range, and higher output voltage for lower noise levels.
