IKEDA 9mono was designed specifically for use in mono and not a modification of the stereo cartridge. Head body is made of solid aluminum alloy layers, to securely hold the generator unit.
Needle holder is made in the form of bilayer duralumin tubes to minimize weight and ruggedness. Chip needle (stylus) has an oval shape that will effectively read information from any mono LPs in any period of their press.
