Cary SLP-98 Tube Preamplifier With Phono Stage, Remote, and Premium Mods + Silver Umblical Cable

I am moving so I am selling some great Cary equipment. Here is a SLP-98 tube preamplifier with Phono Stage and optional remote control in great condition. The unit has several modded upgrades. It has 4 Clarity Caps bypassing all power supplies creating more air and definition in the highs. 4 other caps were used in the power supplies making them tighter, and more concise. In the audio signal path, the standard Kimber Caps that are stock in the SLP-98 have been upgraded to Mundorf gold capacitors. This really makes this preamplifier sing!!!! Cary on it's website now offers these premium mods to their gear. This is a $1000 upgrade! The mods were all done by a very experienced audio tech that has been working on Cary gear for the past 20 years. He specializes in working on high end gear and performing miraculous mods. He has been working on my equipment for the past 30 years. I opted to upgrade the stock umbilical cord between the power supply box and the preamplifier to a Silver Revelation Audio Labs connector. It is made of silver, the finest conductor of electricity. This also far improves quietness, dynamics, and deep bass response. The cable was $200. The preamplifier comes with electro harmonix tubes. The phono tubes have no usage on them. The 4 preamp tubes have about 300 hours on them. I have the manual and remote control for volume. I do not have the box.
