Exceptionally Mint condition, very low use as early on I replaced it with an OPPO Universal Disk/Movie Player. Since than It has been re-packed in the original BAT sealed shipping carton. The player has both Analog and Coaxial output.
The player had not been out of the box for a number of years, and has been stored in a temperature controlled atmosphere. Before repacking the player for shipment I completely tested the unit for quality and performance. Everything worked perfectly, and the sound is exceptionally smooth and lovely.
Though the owners manual indicates the BAT remote is included, it was not included when I bought the unit new. As the remote has not been available for a number of years, I will include an as-new Logitech Harmony 880, which can easily be configured with the codes to operate the BAT VK-D5 CD Player.

Hi, do you have more pics? Thanks, CW. I put more Pics on the listing |
Is there a scratch on the display? From your picture looks that way! Regards, CW. No, it was a small finger print, which I easily removed with soft cotton. |
Why changing the price so much?!! The Audiogon Blue Book lists it's AVERAGE RETAIL VALUE AT $2,955.00. I don't think I changed it all that much, but the Player is in absolutely mint, as-new condition. Sweetest sound I've ever heard. If it is too expensive for you I would you suggest you not make an offer. There's LOTS of competition out there for you to look at. |
The last 7 of 8 sold for an average of $1350, why do you still insist the average is $2,955? The deck could be up to 16 years old.. if you hate paypal so much, why do you still have it in the ad as an option????!! The average price of $2,955 comes from Audiogon's Blue Book.
I use PayPal because it seems to be the choice of most buyers.
Any more invective you want to send my way? If you don't like
my terms, don't make an offer.

Could I ask why this one has ranged from a high of $2200 down to $950? And back up again. Sorry, I can't. I'm the original owner, and only used it briefly, and replaced it early on when the OPPO player became available. I turned 80 in January, and my mind isn't working as it once did. I can assure you there are no more hours on it than when I put it back in it's original BAT shipping box after I verified it works perfectly. I checked it out at the request of a potential buyer who didn't come up with the cash. It is a lovely sounding, very musical player. Very low hours. |
Are you sure it plays SACDs - there is no mention of that when I google it? Do you know what year yours was made? I bought it new in 2004. I'm glad Victor clarified it will not play SACDs, even though SACD is in BAT's title. It plays perfectly and is exceptionally musical and sweet sounding. Very low use - new condition. |
