Boulder 1021 Network Disc Player

When the Boulder 1021 debuted, it was the first complete source component from the company. Development lasted for two years and the result completely changed the limits of what a digital player could be.

Boulder’s disc drive is a high precision mechanism with sophisticated error correction which ensures absolutely accurate retrieval of the audio bit stream. The Boulder drive is used only for data retrieval; clocking and signal processing are separate from the drive, where they are handled by dedicated circuitry and proprietary software. This division of tasks is essential for achieving the elimination of any sonic signature or coloration attributable to the disc drive.
