Burmester 001 Top Line CD player

Up for sale is a Burmester 001 CD player in silver. This CD player is one of a number of components that I’m selling for one of our customers here at Overture Audio. He originally purchased the player from me in 2010, and used it for 2 years. The belt-drive 001 is from Burmester’s Top Line of components – it’s an audibly significant step up from their Classic Line player. And, it’s more than just a CD player – it can also plug directly into your amplifier and function as a preamplifier, with four digital inputs which all upsample to 24/96.

As you can see from the photos, this CD player is in excellent condition, and has very low hours due to the fact that it was used in a secondary system. It includes all original accessories, box, packing materials, remote control, owner’s manual and an extra disc stabilizer. It’s tough to photograph this CD player because of its mirrorlike chrome finish, but I think I got some good shots.

This player sold for $21,495 when it was purchased in 2010 – considering its ability to also function as a preamplifier and DAC, it’s an outstanding buy at this price.
