Marantz DV7001 CD / SACD / DVD-A player

This Marantz DV7001 was purchased new from an authorized dealer in late 2008, and is now being sold by the first owner. It's built like a battleship and has no visible flaws.

For most of the time I had this unit, it was used as a secondary digital source for SACD/DVD-A playback only. The sound is outstanding: the CS4398 DACs used in the DV7001 continue to be used in much more expensive devices. SACD sounds particularly excellent, with a weighty presentation and a huge soundstage.

I used this player as a primary CD player for only a few months. I can say, however, that the built-in user-selectable upsampling adds smoothness, which I found desirable on older CD pressings.

The multichannel functionality on the player has never been used.

Original accessories are included, and this unit will ship in the original box.
