Up for sale is an used Musical Fidelity A5 24 bit up sampling CD player in good working condition. It has a few light marks on the case. It comes with the original remote.
The A5 CD player is rare because only 1,500 units of these were made, so don't let it get away.
The A5 was the winner of The Absolute Sound's Editor's Choice Award and also the Golden Ear Award more than once. The A5 features Mu-Vista 6112 tubes and produces a very neutral and evenly balanced sound. It also produces a huge three dimensional sound-stage with extremely low bass response.
The A5's build quality is phenomenal at the weight of more than 22 pounds. It has a dual-differential 24-bit Delta-Sigma bit-stream DAC with 192kHz 8x oversampling. Besides the standard RCA analog output, the A5 has one optical Toslink and one S/PDIF RCA digital output for use as a transport with an outboard DAC.
