For sale is a Audio Note CD 3.1x tube cdp in fairly mint condition. Rated 8/10 only due to age. There are no blemishes on the player as I know of and functionally it is perfect. Comes with remote and original box, but I do not have the manual.
There is a very slight hum from the transformer that is audible only in immediate vicinity of the player, but not a few feet away or from the listening position. It has been that way since I got the player and not a sign of impending failure. I am the only owner and bought it as a store demo. Organic sounding, classic AN sound...transparent yet musical.
Service history: Transformer was replaced under warranty. After warranty expired the output caps were replaced (one cap was leaking and hence slight static like noise in sound) by local tube repair shop with Mallory caps. I have one original AN cap that is fine with me and will include it. I do not hear any difference in sound between the original caps and the new caps, in fact I feel the sound now is slightly better, but YMMV. However, because it does not have the orIginal caps, it is priced to reflect that. See pic of interior which looks clean.
