ClearAudio Outer Limit Perimiter Record Clamp Stainless Steel Ring

Expensive but very effective device that along with a good spindle clamp effectively binds the entire record to the turntable platter which gives you similar performance advantages as a vacuum platter without all of the drawbacks and complexities of those vacuum tables. Extremely precision turned on a lathe out of one massive piece of non-magnetic and corrosion proof stainless steel it not only presses the outside of my finest albums tightly to the platter but also has allowed me to use previously unplayable warped albums on my ClearAudio Maximum Solution turntable by flattening out all but the most seriously warped vinyl. There has been a new version released for $1350.00 that beside the ring also includes what they call a "Spyder" allegedly to center the ring instead of the easier to use "Locator" that comes with this version, which for the life of me I cannot understand why it would have any more useful function as in my experience it would do nothing but complicate using a supremely simple device that fits precisely every time for me without the added complexity.
