Up for sale is my CJ Premier 9 DAC. This D/A converter is absolutely amazing - and in perfect functional condition. I can find no scratches or blemishes on it whatsoever but I rated it 8/10 conservatively only due to its age. These are hard to find and I'm sad to see it go, but I am downsizing my system.
I have NOS tubes I will include as backups, the ones currently inside the 9 have 50 or so hours on them. I will have it professionally packed to ship. Sold as-is, but guaranteed against DOA. Please add 3% for PayPal.
Also check my listing for the matching Premier 10 Pre and Evolution 2000 amp.
From CJ: The Premier Nine features a "bit-stream" digital/analog converter stage. It accommodates the full 16 bit digital sample word, offering full resolution of all encoded information. Filtering and de-emphasis are performed in the digital domain to achieve a greater linear phase bandwidth. Third order noise shaping effectively attenuates a musical digital processing spuriae by 118dB, below the inherent digital noise floor. Separate power transformers, separate regulated power supplies, and a shielded compartment isolate the analog stage from the digital circuitry. All component parts are the finest conrad johnson deploys. All capacitors are cjd polystyrene and all resistors are precision, laser-trimmed metal foil resistors.

"The Conrad Johnson Premier 9 is one of the most musical DAC's that I have heard. It is not overly warm, distorted, and syrupy gushy fuzzy like some of the earlier CJ equipment. It is beautiful and musical sounding without being lean or sounding artificial, in other words, deserving of the Premier in its name. "
