The new CNX-PAD8 Audio Distribution Processor from Crestron is a professional, high-end audio distribution system that removes installation and design constraints. As part of any Crestron installation (new or existing), the CNX-PAD8 brings the Crestron name - and reputation for performance and quality - to any audio aspect of a control system.

Powered by Crestron's STS™ or CNMSX-PRO™ systems, the CNX-PAD8 can be programmed to select any available audio source, preamplify its signal, and then distribute it to as many as eight room amplifiers, each of which can be chosen according to its application. Preamp controls include volume (minimum/maximum), bass, treble, and balance. To insure that all sources are distributed at equal levels, compensating gain adjustments are offered at the inputs.

Expanding the number of CNX-PAD8 outputs is a snap, using an optional bussing kit (model CNX-ASBK) which allows up to four units to be bussed together, for a total of 32 outputs.

Simplification of the design and programming process, the highest quality components, storage of adjustments in non-volatile memory, plus front panel LEDs and gold-plated RCA connectors are just some of the many reasons for incorporating Crestron's own audio distribution processor into any new or existing Crestron control system.

Any Crestron user interface - from keypad to touchpanel - provides access and control. Entry-level remote control, via Cresnet data network wire, is available from the CN-WP12F (2-way, LED source feedback) and CN-WP12N (numeric) 12-button keypads. These one-gang keypads are designed to be fitted with standard decorator style wallplate covers, either as a stand-alone or integrated with existing wall controls. Each keypad comes with an additional set of keys for full customization. Other Crestron interfaces, such as the new ColorTouch™ CT-1000, VideoTouch™ VT-3500 and 2-way wireless STX-1550C touchpanels, complement or replace basic Crestron controllers with style and elegance.

Setup is an easy task thanks to Crestron's Windows®-based programming software. Quick-start Wizards get you up to speed with basic control panel templates and codes. Touchpanels may be fully customized with imported images, icons and graphics using Crestron VisionTools™ Pro Windows.
