I purchased this DAC brand new from Music Direct a little less than 2 years ago. It's in excellent condition and works perfectly. Stereophile review is "Borderline Class A", but I think it sounds better than the Mytek Brooklyn which is listed as class A. Compared to the Brooklyn, the DAC-R has a smooth, dynamic sound with a large, open soundstage, whereas the Brooklyn seems a bit more dry and clinical to my ear. Amazing price to performance ratio with this DAC! Includes remote control, power cord, owners manual and original packaging. Will be shipped double boxed for protection.
