Up for sale an almost new Denon DA-500 digital to analog converter. The DA-500 is modeled after the ultra hi end DA-S1 DAC. This DAC composed of one of the most famous chips from Burr Brown, the PCM 1702, and one BB1702 was used for each channel. The BB1702s are known for the analog sound it can produce, and was used in many great DACs by various audiophile companies. One other advantage of the 1702 is, since it is not as analytical as modern chips, it can cover fatigue sound from lower quality sources, and can make entry level CD players sound a whole lot better.

This DA-500 is essentially in brand new condition. Cosmetically, this DAC is in perfect condition. Functionally, everything works perfectly. It was hooked up and used for the first time this past week. Also the original manual, box and warranty card will be included.
