Where Hi-Fi meets Hi-End! Simply plug in your favorite headphones, cue up your best reference tracks and get ready to hear, literally, what you’ve been missing - courtesy of the m902 reference headphone amplifier.

At the core of the m902 is our audiophile, high-current transimpedance amplifier circuitry, which effortlessly drives even the lowest impedance headphones and provides the high-resolution and low-level ambient detail for which all our products are famous. This circuitry makes familiar recorded material become at once transparent and alive, while critical details in editing and mastering become obvious and easy to manipulate.

Professionals and audiophiles alike are continually floored by the m902’s high performance 24bit/192kHz DAC, which includes our unique s-Lock™ dual stage PLL (Phase Lock Loop) for extremely low intrinsic jitter and rock solid digital performance.

selectable via a front panel rotary switch. And we offer an *optional infrared remote control*, (included here) which provides the essential controls for anyone working out of reach of their m902.

The m902 cleverly adds stereo unbalanced or optional balanced (m902b) analog line outputs for connection to powered studio monitors or amplifiers. This allows it to double as an elegantly simple high fidelity monitor controller or even a purist audiophile preamplifier / DAC. And, similar to our larger studio monitor controllers (m906, m904), the m902 provides some essential user calibration settings which help it to integrate into any playback environment.

The m902 includes a crossfeed circuit, or XFeed, which simulates the natural acoustics of a loudspeaker listening environment and HRTF (Head Related Transfer Functions). This circuitry, designed by Dr. Jan Meier, can significantly improve imaging, while reducing listening fatigue when using headphones.

Celebrated by audiophiles and audio engineers alike, the m902 is a crossover smash hit and a must have for anyone searching to discover new depths in music and sound.

Grace m902 Features:

Rear panel XLR's and RCA jacks accept stereo analog, balanced +4dBu and unbalanced -10dBV input sources, respectively.

Ultra-low distortion 24-bit DAC included as standard and accepts stereo digital input sources in AES3, (XLR) S/PDIF (RCA) and TOSLINK (Optical) formats.

Auto sample rate detection and digital de-emphasis filter - sample rates from 44.1 to 192kHz are supported.

USB input provides a convenient way for user's to enjoy a reference quality monitoring experience when connected to their computer. This interface supports 16-bit audio at 44.1 or 48kHz sample rates.

The m902 incorporates our unique s-LockTM dual stage PLL (Phase Lock Loop) circuitry for the ultimate in low jitter sample clock stability and sonic integrity.

A pair of line outputs are provided via RCA jacks on the rear panel for connection to stereo monitors.

A front panel rotary encoder provides precision level control of both headphone and line output levels and level adjustments are made in 0.5dB steps within a 95dB range.

An astounding 0.05dB channel level matching ensures true stereo balance at any monitoring level.

A large, blue 7-segment display is used to show headphone and stereo main output levels.
Calibration modes provide a means by which a number of m902 system parameters may be adjusted for both headphone and mains outputs. There's also a display dim mode that turns off all LED's except for the main power switch LED.

The m902 includes an exciting new feature labeled Xfeed that simulates the acoustics of a loudspeaker listening environment which significantly improves imaging while reducing listening fatigue when using headphones. This feature employs carefully designed signal cross-feed, filtering and delay circuits to simulate HRTF (Head Related Transfer Functions).

High current transimpedance output amplifier design drives 25 Ohm loads. The m902 was specifically designed with low impedance headphones in mind.

Only the highest quality 0.5% and 0.1% metal film resistors are used throughout and there are no electrolytic capacitors in the signal path. Sealed gold contact relays are used for all signal switching.
