This Dac is in excellent shape I am rating it 8/10 cosmetically. The only flaw is in the touch screen which has two horizontal lines running across it. (See Picture) I called PS Audio about getting it fixed and they said it would cost me $250 plus shipping to get it repaired. They also stated that getting it repaired would give me a 1 yr warranty. Why am I telling you this? If the DAC didn't have that problem on the screen I would put it up for around $1600-$1700. Since the DAC sounds great,and is in good shape,, I figured i would list it and take off the cost for getting it repaired. if you can live with the two lines as I have you can get a lower price. If the DAC doesn't sell in the first 30 days I will get it repaired and then relist it.
This is a PS Audio Perfectwave Dac MK II W/ Bridge I. This was a PWD MK I that I upgraded to MKII. Originally purchased in December of 2012, I upgraded it in 2013. It is in very good shape. Has been in my dedicated equipment rack in a smoke free home. Cosmetically it is a 8/10 very little wear anywhere. Sounds great and is fully broken in. I am selling as I have bought the new Directstream dac. Incidentally If you would like to get the Directstream DAC at some point, PS Audio will give you $2000 trade in for this DAC. It will be shipped in the original double boxes that it came in. Includes the SD card that is used to update/ change the firmware, remote which is unused and includes the batteries as well as the power cord that came with it. | What is the difference, if there is any, b/w this unit, upgraded mkII, and the original mkII? Thx. This dac was originally a PWD MK 1. I bought the upgrade kit which consistst of new cards to replace in the unit. There is no difference between this dac and one that was put together at the factory. |
