The Mirus is one of the most highly rated, musical dacs around.  Digital Audio Review magazine considers the Mirus a Division 1 dac and Audio Stream rated it a Class A.  The Audio Stream review says: “I think the highest compliment I can pay to the INVICTA Mirus is that this is one DAC I could happily live with. It is basically an uncolored, highly dynamic, and easy-to-listen to DAC that was always musically engaging in its presentation."

The integral SD card implementation is a unique feature which  eliminates the need for a computer or streamer in the listening room.  Like many of the best dacs, the Mirus uses FPGA programming for improved sound quality and is easily updated with firmware.  The dac includes a well designed volume control feature so a preamplifier is optional.

I choose the Mirus over the PS Audio Direct Stream, Naim, and Teddy Pardo dacs because the Mirus sounded better in my system. The main reason for selling is that I decided to buy some better speakers, use a high quality integrated amplifier with an internal dac, and ditch the separate boxes, cables, etc.  The new Mirus released summer 2016 is selling for $6,000, so this unit is a real "bargain." Mint condition with no visible flaws or functional issues but conservatively rated an "8".

Input: Asynchronous USB 2.0,
SD/SDHC/SDXC cards. The USB supports up to 24 bit/ 384kHz as well as DSD64 and
DSD128. The Card supports 24-bit / 384kHz for WAV and AIFF, FLAC is 24/192k.
AES/EBU (S/PDIF) and 2 BNC (S/PDIF) inputs are included that support up to
24/192 kHz. A Toslink (S/PDIF) is also included.

Output: (1) Pair Unbalanced (RCA) and
1 pair XLR. An HDMI Output is included for reading the directory structure of
any of the card formats with an HDMI connected monitor. A Toslink output for
