Up for sale is my well taken care of Schiit Audio Gungnir 24/192 Multibit DAC.

Rare to see on Audiogon, this example of the Gungnir is an upgraded DAC to Multibit.  It started out as a standard Gungnir about four years ago.  I was one of the first to get in line for the Multibit upgrade, which was factory installed about a year ago.

Get a Multibit Gungnir for the price of the base AKM delta-sigma version.

The Multibit Gungnir is an amazing DAC for the price.  It has four Analog Devices AD5781BRUZ for a true hardware balanced output.  Proprietary closed form DSP digital filter does not throwout samples.  Fully discrete analog output.  XLR & dual RCA outputs.  Four digital inputs (Coaxial RCA SPDIF, BNC SPDIF, Optical SPDIF, USB).  No delta-sigma and no DSD.  Future upgrades possible.

The sound out of the Gungnir Multibit is non-fatiguing and feels right.  After the upgrade, instruments took on a clearer tone, with less apparent haze in the way.  I could rock for hours with headphones without worrying if my ears would hurt.  Highly recommended for a PC tower, as it fits snuggly on top, lengthwise.  Just add a headphone amp.

The reason for the sale is my upgrade to the Yggdrasil.

Factory boxed, with stock power cord & reprinted manual.

I encourage the prospective buyer to use Audiogon Express Checkout.  If so, no fees and I'll cover shipping.
