TEAC UD-H01 DAC

About :  
The TEAC UD-H01 brings high-end digital-to-analog conversion to an affordable package for component or computer audio playback. Three digital inputs are provided: coaxial, optical, and a USB 2.0 input for connection to Mac or Windows computers. These connect to a premium-quality Burr Brown PCM1795 dual DAC with up to 192kHz/32-bit audio resolution for the highest-quality sources. The device can receive data asynchronously meaning the timing signal is included reducing jitter to the absolute lowest level. Input sources can even be up-converted to higher sampling rates for smoother audio quality.

For output to powered speakers or an amplifier, a Muse 8920 dual operation line amplifier terminates to gold-plated phono or balanced XLR outputs. The output circuit is completely independent in the left and right sides for optimum channel separation and clear stereo imaging. A stereo headphone amp is also provided with independent volume control.

Condition :  
This is very lightly used unit as backup office setup. Like new very light signs of use no marks or dents on outside. This is great dac with a lot extras that makes it perfect for any setup where XLR or RCA out is required from USB or SPDF input.  It cams with :  original package factory default manual power cable  Monolink Optical cable 

Upgrade :    
This DAC is great value for the money with solid burr brown DAC chip and MUSES opamps. It provide great details and almost audiophile hi-end sound out of the box. For even greater performance the following upgrade was done :    

• 2 x 6800uf Nichicone Audio caps for better PSU and filtering

• Analog stage buffer capacitors replaced 5x 220uf Nichicon 
  
  


• Analog stage output capacitors replaced 4 x 1uf poly 5% Audio Grade  

Results have been tremendous on dynamic, control and bass depth with overall more mature sound presentation. Whit all listed sound is very detailed and jet controlled that can be set and compared with many known DAC's in 1k price range and it will not disappoint considering it's value and system around it
