Theta Digital DSPro Gen Va custom built

A custom built Theta DAC. One of two made. Recently gone through and upgraded where possible by Dave Kerstetter, one of the principal designers. Reviewer owned, since before the beginning. The custom feature I remember is that the power switch has been replaced with a 3-position switch that selects between the Theta algorithm all the time (upper), HDCD all the time (lower), and normal, i.e. Theta algorithm unless it sees the HDCD flag.

I reviewed this, according to Audiogon's Blue Book, in the Absolute Sound: Mar 1997, vol 20, issue 110. The one like mine was done for mastering engineer Joe Gastwirt. I didn't think I would stop using it - and might not - but I'd like to sell it to get some extra cash to go for the PS Audio DirectStream. The top, as the pictures show, has some light scratches on it.
