Denon DVD 5910 Universal Player

I have for sale a Denon DVD 5910 DVD player. I purchased this unit in early 2006 from an Audiogon member who bought it new a month prior. It is in excellent cosmetic and functional condition and has been used sparingly in a clean smoke free, pet free environment, but I am rating it 7/10 rating to reflect the age. The unit comes complete with the original packaging, user's manual, remote and power cord.

Please note that this is not the ci version, hence the lower cost than you see those typically selling for here. The only difference between the two versions is that for DVD video, this unit upscales only to 720p or 1080i, not 1080p. However, if you are interested in this unit it is probably more for the stellar CD, SACD and DVD-A audio capabilities, not necessarily the video. If you have a decent 1080p monitor, you can let it do the video upscaling anyway and get great results. But again, the main reason to own this unit (or the DVD-5910ci) is not the video per se, but for the superb analog multichannel audio output. And you'll want to use the Pure Direct mode to turn off the video section completely.

I would prefer a local sale in the Chicago area. This flagship player is very heavy. But I would be willing to ship within the U.S. at the buyer's expense.
