Dynaudio Special 25s Bordeaux-Mint

Wow; here goes. I thought this day might never come; I seriously thought these might be the last speakers I ever owned. They are certainly the BEST!

If you already know these very Special speakers, then all you might need to know is that this pair is just over a year old...lovingly cared for by a compulsive audiophile, and dedicated Dynaudio lover. Seriously...they mostly sat on their Stand 4s, never to be touched; and when I did have to move them, I suffered my wife's ridicule by doning the white gloves...lol.

If you don't know these speakers...they are a limited run, of a very Special configuration of Dynaudio drivers (which are universally accepted as some of the best in hi-fi); they pair the 8" mid/bass driver from their well over $100,000, flagship Evidence Master...with one of the best tweeters on the market...the Esotar2, which Dynaudio uses only in the Confidence line and up of their speakers. It's still a mystery to me, how they do it for the $6k a pair these cost; maybe that's why they only made 75...lol

That's right; this run...which celebrates the 15th anniversary of Dynaudio in the US...was limited to 75, precious pairs. The original 25s...released in 2002...featured a lighter finish; call it a personal taste, but I much prefer this gorgeous, darker Bordeaux.

The sound? Oh my; you just wouldn't believe the BASS you get from these monitors. Not that the top-end is any slouch either; again...the Esotar2 is one of the best tweeters in this world, or any other. These 25s get compared against Dynaudio's "best" monitor...the C1...all the time; from what I've heard, if you're the type of audiophile that still needs to crank up the Rock every once in a while...the 25s are more for you! (I can confirm they Rock...though these have never been over-driven or abused; I don't think there is such a thing...I'd defy you to over-drive them!)

I could go on and on, but you get the picture; besides, if you want to talk more about their sound, or how they might match with the rest of your system...drop me a line. I never mind talking a little shop.

I've rated 9/10 just to under-promise and over-deliver (I don't know where all these johnny-come-lately sprung-up from...I guess Audiogon stocked the pond when they re-vamped the site, but check my feedback and know that I deliver what I promise)...but AFAIC, these are perfect, mint...like new, whatever you want to call it.

Original boxes, and everything that came with them new; to get a better pair, you'd have to call Mick himself...lol. Buyer to pay only actual s&h; I'll consider Intl, but you have to jump through the hoops, not me. PayPal please plan on adding 3.5%
