This XM9 is a two-way analog electronic crossover. The cross-over frequencies are fixed by pairs of resistor networks installed on each of the cross-over boards. The unit comes with 250 Hz (currently installed) and 100 Hz networks pairs. (The original owner also purchased *single* 80 Hz and 125 Hz networks which will be included.) A switch allows running a summed mono output for the bass.
I am the second owner of this XM9. The original owner purchased it as a kit in 1993. I updated the unit with the following last year:
* Replaced op-amps with Burr Brown OPA2134
* Replaced all 10 uF electrolytic by-pass capacitors on cross-over boards
* New variable power supply (set to +/- 15 volts)
The XM9 is built like a tank. Condition is good, no noticeable scratches or other defects.
