Excellent pair of Escalante Juniper monitors in black. These show and work as if you just bought them, they are not even fully broken in yet. The system is based on 2 - 6.5" midbass drivers, and the top range ring radiator tweeter from Vifa (I think.) in a quasi Isobaric type of configuration patented by Escalante. I find them to be about the most musical yet also fast speakers I have used, their portrayal of what is put through them is very honest, but not all picked apart. A very cohesive system. Dynamics are also rendered with an immediacy which I would expect only from a panel speaker. All in all, they are up toward the very top of my experience with sound reproduction. A note to the bass lovers: While these will reproduce down to 35hz, the output is not prodigious, it is in line with the rest of the spectrum through these speakers, very honest and accurate. For the last octave a fast, musical sub (Dynaudio, REL) would be a wise choice. I have run them without any bass augmentation, I suppose it is a matter of taste.
Each speaker weighs 52lbs unpacked, 81 lbs in its original wooden crate with factory packing, I also have the owner's manual.
Current retail for the Juniper is $6995.00
PayPal use adds the 3.9% fee.
I am open to partial trades of other monitor speakers.
