Founded in 1950 by Georges Cabasse, the Cabasse firm inherited not only its creator’s name, but also his genius. Georges Cabasse is from the world of music, and he is gifted with a special talent. He has a unique memory for sounds. Probably a gift from his ancestors, hailing back to a stringed instrument maker who crafted the first violin signed Cabasse in 1740 at Mirecourt in the Vosges Mountains. Five generations of craftsmen followed him, pursuing the tradition and supplying Europe with violins, violas and cellos, most of which are still being played in orchestras today.

The new Cabasse Minorca can be the final piece of the jigsaw puzzle within a multichannel MC40 series system (as surrounds or rear surrounds), or an equally adept set of bookshelf/stand-mount HiFi speakers.
Like the larger Java and it's smaller counterpart - the Minorca, is conventional looking in many ways in terms of it's appearance and form, but it is like any Cabasse speaker in that it is uniquely avant garde with it's exemplary sonic signature, exclusive technology and design.
Used as a set of surround speakers actually makes wonderful sense, as with the introduction  of SCS high-end technology in this price segment, the Cabasse Minorca's invite you  to discover a new sonic world rich of precision, realism and 3D sound stage which is perfect for convincingly delivering the diffuse nature of spatial effects. The Minorca despite it's multichannel credentials (and especially that 'spatially coherent' delivery for surround effects), is like any other stereo Cabasse speaker in that it is highly musical and 'natural'.
