This was the reference speakers for many years used by British reviewers. These far out perform ls 3/5a so I have no idea as to why some audiophiles spend thousands for a speaker which pales in comparison. Coupled with the 6000 subs and celestion electronic crossover these speakers form a full range system still competitive with contemporary systems. I have used these with Quad 405s ,606 and Mac tube gear. The drivers are unblemished, the cabinets show the usual marks on the strange finish material. I have the 6000 sub and processor which I can sell if you desire.
