DBX Soundfield 1A audiophile tower speakers in walnut (assuming it's a veneer) with Adcom GFA 555 (high current 200 WPC amplifier, DBX 3BXIII 3 Channel Dynamic Expander and Impact Restoration device and ADC 12 Band Sound Shaper Graphic Equalizer (EQ).
So here's the deal. This is a local Denver Metro Area (from Ft. Collins to Colorado Springs) pickup only sale/trade. I may be open to offers and possible trades + cash. Mainly looking for Klipsch Heritage speakers (Cornwall, Chorus, Forte and Heresy only), vintage turntables (Thorens, Linn or higher end Rega) and Dynaco/Dynakit style tube amps in the 10-60+ watt range.
I purchased these speakers in 1986 while stationed in Germany - and at time the price was WAY more than a few months pay (~$3500 1986 dollars). I used them from new through ~2005 while in California and in Colorado, and then they went into temperature and humidity controlled storage. That was until about a year ago when I became self employed (by choice!) and I moved them to my new office. I've been using them daily (low volume - hey, it's an office environment!) and they are REALLY overkill for my little office and will need a bigger room than I have to really appreciate the sound.
Each tower has 4x10" woofers, 4x5" mid-drivers and an array of 6 tweeters. The grills have the typical bits of pilling (think wool sweaters) that occurs with the nylon grill cover material. Other than that, they are in terrific shape - and I've never ever really pushed hard - oh and all of the speaker surrounds are in terrific condition too.
Gear is rather vintage (and all works great) but after it leaves my office, I cannot offer any sort of warranty or return.
Thanks for looking!
