REL Acoustics T-7

This is my second Rel Acoustic sub. I had a smaller model years ago that I used to augment a pair of Totem Rainmaker monitors.  


I purchased this used from Stereo Exchange in NYC early this summer. They had it traded in from a long time customer who had five systems in his home. It's in as near-mint as possible condition as you can find. Very, very, absolutely minor swirls in the black cabinet finish that don't show up in the photos, but no dings, dimples on the drivers or anything remotely significant. (Why do manufacturers make these finishes so damn prone to even the most casual contacts?  Especially subs which usually aren't even in clear sight???)

I've used it only a few times to see if my Thiel 3.6's could accommodate the extra pressurization in what is a large room.  Swapping out cables corrected what I thought was amiss, so I don't need this anymore. If you have a pair of monitors or full range floor-standers that don't go down to 30HZ, and you don't want a coffin sized sub that obliterates the music, then this is the sub that can help. Rel subs are "musical",  they produce the bass that you may find missing in your speakers that don't reach as low - musically, without boom or bloat. 

 If I were to change direction and return to monitors I'd keep this.  

 
Price includes the sub, stock power cord, and a Rel bassline BLUE neutrik cord - not the stock connector, which is 6 meters long. This alone sells for $549, so my price is quite reasonable. 


Stereo Exchange did not have the original box, so neither do I.
