Emerald Physics CS-2.3

I am the original owner of a pair of Emerald Physics CS2.3 open baffle speakers which I must sell because I recently downsized my living quarters. Otherwise I would never get
rid of them because they sound great to me. These speakers require 3-5 feet of space behind them. In the right room with high quality source material they can throw a soundstage so wide it can even seem to expand behind the sides of the listener.

I purchased these from Wally Underwood about 8 years ago. These speakers must be
biamped. I use a Marsh A400S 200 watt/channel for the pairs of 15-inch woofers in each speaker and a DIY 10 watt/channel tubed amplifier for the midrange-Tweeter which is way more than loud enough.

A Behringer DCX2496 crossover-equalizer was provided with the speakers. I paid more than $1000 for Ric Schultz of Electronic Visionary Systems to upgrade the Behringer and convert the inputs and outputs to RCA jacks which made a HUGE improvement in sound quality. In fact, all six channels of inputs and outputs were upgraded making tramped speakers possible – something I never got around to doing.

The shipping weight of each speaker is 89lbs. The Behringer would be mailed
separately. I can send more pictures including one of the interior mods of the
Behringer to anyone who is interested. I can also scan the manual and send the
document file if desired.
