Golden Ear Triton Two Tower Speakers, Superb Sounding, TAS 2014 Editor’s choice

For sale is a pair of Golden Ear Triton 2 speakers that are in superb working condition. They were used with care in a pet-free, smoke-free home. The speakers look new and the side fabric is in excellent condition. However, I rated them 7/10 because they have a few minor scratches on the bases and also because of a black gloss paint spot (from a spill during HT remodeling) near the rear of one base (see base photo). The drivers work perfectly. Original boxes, accessories, and manuals included.

The Triton 2 has been accorded high accolades by reviewers and they are fully justified. You will be impressed by how the speakers really seem to become just tower-like guardians of the deep soundstage that forms between them.

The Triton Two has an unusual design. The high frequencies are handled by a Heil-type tweeter, the middle frequencies are produced by dual ultra wide bandwidth midrange drivers, and the rich low end comes via each speakers built-in 1200 watt amp. Hence the speakers can be driven by just about any amp. As stated by TAS, together these elements provide you with a slender floor-stander that sounds astonishingly refined, offers robust dynamics and spectacular 3-D imaging.
