JM Labs / Focal Cobalt 816S - Great Sounding Speakers - I had no room for these so I went to In-Walls. I will order double boxes for each speaker for safe shipping anywhere in US / Canada. Please note shipping info listed is for only speaker - so the quote will be double of what Audiogon calculates.

They are in very good cosmetic condition with only one minor nick on the veneer on the rear of one speaker, also one or two chips in the paint on the perforated metal grilles (which are actually fantastic if you have kids - they are acoustically transparent but are very robust!

Sonically, they are very clean and accurate, with deep taut bass. They feature trickle-down technology from the top-line speakers of that era, including the Tioxid 5 tweeter from the Electra series and the W-cone mid and woofer from the Utopia series.

They are 8 ohms nominal impedance and quite efficient at 91.5db/1w/1m. They can be driven easily by small wattage amps, including valve amps.

The crossover is visible via a perspex window on the rear of the speaker and I have the foam plugs.

These are very easy to drive. Excellent upgrade for someone with a smaller integrated that wants to move up from bookshelves to the fuller sound of smaller floorstanders.
