These
are the world famous LEEDH speakers designed and built in France by scientist
and inventor Gilles Milot’s company, Acoustical Beauty. They are less known in
the US but they are quickly gaining recognition. The LEEDH speakers are a
complete rethinking of how speakers work with an effort to eliminate the many
problems and challenges of existing speaker design. Among the many innovations,
they have no box, they have no mechanical resonances anywhere in their
structure, they have no iron in the driver motors eliminating hysteresis
(magnetic lag), they have infinitely stiff moving cones therefore no
resonances, Opposed drivers so no baffle required with a wide radiation pattern
into the high frequencies, and many more. The LEEDH drivers trade traditional
large cones moving at small excursions for smaller infinitely non resonant
drivers moving at higher excursions therefore moving the same amount of air as
a traditional larger driver. While the speakers appear thin and spindly, they
easily convey the dynamics and attack of the best box speakers from the bass
and through to the mids and high frequencies. The total openness of the drivers
