For sale is an incredibly rare and exclusive loudspeaker built by Marker-Audio.
We all know the legendary B&W Nautilus loudspeakers, that are still being sold for $70k, but only few know that there was a super exclusive series of 55 pairs offered by a small German High-End company called Marker-Audio under the license of B&W. Those are not some cheap knock-offs, but a homage to the groundbreaking Nautilus technology with top notch components (Mundorf, WBT, etc) and German craftsmanship. This particular loudspeaker was by far the most expensive version ever offered by Marker-Audio with a retail price of around $15k offering top notch components and a breathtaking grey metallic finish also called 'liquid metal'. Due to their high price only a handful of those were ever built. This is a serious high-end loudspeaker that not only looks spectacular but sounds incredible. Interested buyers are encouraged to make an appointment for a listening test.
The loudspeakers are in excellent condition with no traces of use. However, I don't have the original packaging anymore, so I would prefer local pickup from Cupertino, California. If shipping is required, shipping crates can be made.
Serious inquiries only.
Questions for the seller |
---|
Do you have a link where I can see the specs of the speaker? Since it was a limited edition that is no longer being sold it does not seem to be a dedicated website anymore. But I can give you some info about them.
The speakers are 3-way bass-reflex floor standing loudspeaker with frequency response of 35 Hz - 20 kHz and sensitivity of 88 dB.
Their nominal impedance is rated with 8 Ohms and are easily handled by all amps I tried.
